Best Players in the BDD

Well, thats always the case with haysi and honaker. Schedules are always weak, but that should change next year. I heard that several people are dropping Haysi next year on their schedules.

I think you have to look at a few guys in the BDD and not so many from each school. I will list 2-3 from each here.

Hurley: Justice is a good back but undersized and that will be proven when they play Burton and you will also see what it is to be fast, compared to those guys he is not. Still a good HS back in a weak district.

Twin Valley: Helton is a fast and powerful runner but he lacks some moves. The kid in my opinion is better than Justice.
Keene is the guy that does it all here and he is very fast and a really good athlete.

Haysi:Colley is the 2nd best QB in the region but probably the best athlete. Make plays on sure ability alone most of the time and some times make dumb plays but gets out of them because of his athletisim.
Sperrow is the TE/DE he is a man out there and is a weapon on the offensive side as much as the defensive side. Could have gotten the ball more but we wont talk about that.
Jones is a great athlete and a load to bring down and will be a monster next year.
Honaker [img]tongue.gif[/img] atrick is a machine and a man out there but with a extra year in HS he should be. Great athlete none the less, made one of the best catches i have seen in HS aganist Haysi.
Their QB who i dont know his name is quick with a decent arm and can make some great moves. Will be interesitng to see him aganist GC.

I think the biggest detractor on Shane Justice is also the same thing that gets his name mentioned: the kid is the focus of the Hurley offense.

Last season, Justice was the WB in the Wing T, getting the smallest third of the carries for the first half of the year. However, in his limited number of carries, he displayed some favorable attributes that got himself a starting job by the second half of the year (great moves, very quick, tough to bring down by one defender).

This year, Hurley's offensive coordinator based the entire offense around Justice getting 20 to 30 carries a game. The kid spent the first couple weeks of the year playing with a sore leg. Throw in the fact that Hurley puts no emphasis on being able to pass the ball just enough to keep defenses honest, it is hard for ANYBODY to look good. You must remember, teams have keyed on Justice all year. Throw in the fact he plays behind a very small offensive line (only two kids have the size to play there IMO), what he has done is nothing to sneeze at.

Justice is the third best RB in the district, behind Tyler Patrick and Ryan Jones. While Brandon Helton is a close fourth, he benefits more from a team that throws the ball to set up his running and has a bigger O-line.
